Licensing Expo 2015 Recap
Over three days, more than 16,000 licensing professionals attended the show, representing a 3% increase from last year’s event. And more press attended than ever before, with 157 journalists working the show and covering news from exhibitors.

The increased attendance from retailers and manufacturers was noted by many exhibitors who met with, among others, Target, Mattel, Sony, Infomercials, Inc., Procter & Gamble, Amazon.com, HGTV Home, Old Navy, Claire’s, Petco, Walgreens, Best Buy, Disney, Forever 21, Walmart and Hasbro.

All product categories were strongly represented including toys & games, housewares, automotive, apparel & accessories, health & beauty, tools & equipment, décor, sporting goods, pet products and electronics.

Licensing Expo continued to attract people who are the licensing decision-makers within their organization with 91% of attendees holding that key role.

More than 70% of the 2015 floor space was re-booked for 2016 at the show, which is testament to the success of the three-day event. Licensing Expo 2016 takes place June 21 – 23, 2016 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Don’t miss it! Contact us today.

What is Licensing?
Licensing is the process of leasing a legally protected innovation/idea/product. Many major companies consider licensing a significant marketing tool.

Licensing is a marketing and brand extension tool that is widely used by everyone from major corporations to the smallest of small business. Entertainment, sports and fashion are the areas of licensing that are most readily apparent to consumers, however the business reaches deeply into new product introduction.

Licensing can extend a corporate brand into new categories, areas of a store, or into new stores overall.

In a well-run licensing program, the inventor reaps the benefit by collecting royalties on their invention without ever making a major investment in manufacturing, marketing and distribution.

How Does Invention Licensing Work?
1. A patented or patent pending idea must be marketed to potential licensing companies.
2. Interested companies express a desire to license the invention.
3. A Licensing Agreement is negotiated and finalized.
4. The company makes and sales the product, and pays the inventor a royalty for each unit.

How to have your product at Licensing Expo 2016?
To lease, design and decorate your own booth, and then generate the necessary supplies to professionally present your product, as well as staffing the booth for the entire duration of Expo will easily cost thousands of dollars. However, by taking advantage of an IP Expo Package this opportunity becomes extremely affordable. Inventor Process, Inc. helps independent inventors present new concepts to the world’s leading manufacturers and retailers in a protected, credible manner. It’s time for your invention to work for you. Don’t miss your opportunity!
