Patent Search

We provide quality patent searches!

The Patenting Process is the first step to getting your product out into the world. A patent search will provide a list of previously patented and/or patent pending concepts that may be related to your idea. A patent search allows you to make an informed decision about pursuing your invention, and establishes the fact that you have taken steps to research and protect your idea. Patent searches are complex procedures and with millions of patents issued and millions more pending the novice can easily overlook critical prior art. This is why we strongly recommend patent searches be conducted by an experienced researcher. Visit the Get Started page to start your patent search.

What to Expect

  • Conducted by a registered patent attorney / agent / former USPTO Patent Examiner.

Our registered patent attorney / agent / former USPTO Patent Examiner researches the patent product list for a similar product or concept and returns a list of patents that may be relevant to your invention. If the search proves that your concept is new, we will walk you through the steps of getting your product patented.

  • Returns a list of patents that may be relevant to your invention.

A patent search allows you to make an informed decision about whether or not to pursue your invention and establishes the fact that you have taken steps to research and protect your idea.

  • The patent search includes a Novelty Assessment.

For a patent claim to be patentable, novelty is required. If an invention is not new and there has already been something similar created it is not patentable. Therefore, a novelty assessment is done to make sure it is a new, novel idea, that has never been invented before.

  • Establishes that you have taken steps to research and protect your idea.

A patent protects your invention and prevents others from taking your idea and selling it as their own. The sooner you file for a patent the better because it will provide you a competitive advantage or a monopoly on your product.

  • Costs $399.00 and takes approximately 10 business days.

  • Review results of your patent search before proceeding with the Direct Submission Program™.
